My tour in South Korea is a mix of happiness and sadness experience. But I could say I really had fun there even though I went there alone. I stayed in Suwon and on my first day of tour, I went to Andong. On my way to Andong, I lost my planner(itinerary and train schedule I should ride) and my return plane ticket. (I was too clumsy that time). I tried to find it first but after an hour going here and there, I gave up. So, I just went to an information center and asked for train schedule. So I arrived in Andong about afternoon, I didn't catch the early train going there.
When I was in Andong, I was totally lost in translation. I went to the tourist information and since it was late, about 4pm, they told me where are the possible places I can go. So they gave me a map and then went out. Looking for the bus station to ride, a taxi driver approached me and trying to help me where to go. I told him to take me to the near place I can visit. He said, most of the places are closed. So when I rode on his taxi, he brought me to Hahoe Village which is quite far. Gladly, I still caught the tourist information on that area open. (Actually the people in tourist information center in Hahoe Village are on their way to go home.) But when I talked to one of them, she said she will accompanying me on the tour. (She got pity on me coz she said I'm in helpless situation and no one on that area can speak English and also she said she don't trust the taxi driver.) She toured me around the Hahoe Village. I am really grateful to her that time. We went back to the downtown of Andong about 8pm. To return her a favor, I treated her a dinner. And we had fun on our conversation. I am glad I made a friend like her out of nowhere. My next destination was in Gyeong-ju. So, from Andong, I went to Gyeong-ju and I spend the whole sunny day touring around the province. I also met a Taiwanese lady who just like me traveling alone. But she was in a hurry because she needed to catch a bus going to Busan by 3pm. I had a great and tiring day in Gyeong-ju. It was very hot that day. I missed eating dinner in Gyeong-ju because the train going back to Suwon leaved by 7pm. On the next day, I travelled around in Seoul, where Ms. Ji Won (ajoomma-my guide) guided me there. It was raining that time, we just went to National Museum, Insadong, Itaewon, Myeongdung and met Shiyan who was also there in Seoul. Ms. Ji Won is very kind and friendly. She was really trying to help me while I was in Seoul. The rest of the days, I stayed in Seoul. I also met Rachel and her friend Jack. We went to Gyeongbokgung, Myangdong(?), and in Seoul Tower. Then we went to a bar and drink. I could say, they got me drunk that time. (hahaha. I'm not good in drinking liquors.) The following day, I toured alone in Seoul, I went to Changgyeonggung and hanged around in Cheonggyecheon. Then in evening, I met Ms. Ji Won again together with her cute friend So Jung(^^). We just ate dinner while we were talking. On my last day in Seoul, Ji Won accompanied me in 63 Bldg and helped me buying something for my friends in Japan. We were in a hurry in 63 Bldg. Ji Won was so worried that I might miss the flight.
I am really grateful meeting those guys. Their tips and presence really helps a lot.
I really enjoyed their company. Hope we'll meet again. ^^ Thanks for the time.
