(if ur eating local and not backpacker fair) local people get sick too... but in the end theres such an established "backpacker" trail especially here in south east asia that u could come over on a 4 month trip and never have to attempt to communicate in the local language or eat the food if u didn't want to. and when ur ready step to the side and start to really travel!!! steve :D
