In Tokyo itself, there is quite a few places to go since travelling out may be quite a "waste of limited time". For example, you may visit Asakusa to visit the "Thunder Door" (direct translation from kanji characters) temple.... The Ueno park with museums and various stalls... Odabai with shopping and indoor SEGA theme park... If you want to go to Mt Fuji, it will takes you about 2~3 hrs on bus ride for sightseeing. You may also go to Five Lakes whereby you can have see Mt Fuji from afar and the nice lake views that is surrounding the mountain.
