I am half-Japanese, half-white. I just moved to Tokyo from the U.S. to attend the University of Tokyo for grad school for Zoology. Though my father is Japanese, I have never been to Japan before. I would best describe myself as eclectic/hippie. I love to travel and learn of other cultures and languages. I'm 20 years old, and I came here alone not knowing anyone(all of my family here is located in Northern Japan). I'm hoping to meet some friends around Tokyo who would be willing to show me around and help me a bit with my Japanese.
My Interests:
classic rock (i.e. Pink Floyd, Rush, David Bowie), live music, traditional instruments, traditional ethnic music and dance, piano, reading, tigers, the outdoors, Aikido, anything science/biology related, studio ghibli films, cultural and religion studies, travelling, ethnic jewelry, shopping
